The Middle

Can someone please tell me why our three remaining candidates for President and most politicians are spending so much time trying to win the middle? Who is in the middle? Does the middle care? I might be wrong but if the middle had an opinion they could pick a position and they would not be the middle. Here is a fresh idea tell us where you stand and work on the left or the Right that is where the people are. I am not talking about the loony left or the radical right. I am talking about the solid standing folks who know who they are.
Now that I think about it the democrats can do what ever the hell they want. Can Senator John McCain start talking to the Right. I keep hearing how conservative he really is. Well I have not seen it since 2000. Hey I am sorry you lost buddy get over it. You have been in bed with every slimy dem over the last 8 years. Take a page from President Bush (who kicked your butt) and work on the base that is pretty unhappy with you. Then try something he did not always do work for the conservative Christian right who make up most of voters of this country.
Give up on the middle they don’t care that is why they are the middle.

Keep America Beautiful...

get a haircut and shave your nasty face. Yes I am talking to you hippie. Take a trip to you local barbershop. Yes a barbershop to see your friendly neighborhood barber not a 20 something girl who spent a few weeks at a votech. After the skilled barber cuts the shag off your head pick up some products to keep you and your hair well groomed that are made for men and smell manly. Stop sharing haircare and styling products with your wife, sister, or boy uhh girlfriend. They still make stuff for men use it. If your barber does not offer shaves go home and take a hot shower put some shaving cream on your face then remove the cream and hair from your face with a sharp razor. You might try more than one pass to do a good job. Clean the freshly shaven skin with a hot towel then rinse with cold water to close the pores. Apply some aftershave to finish the job. You will look and feel better and the country will appreciate the effort. When you realize the benefit of shaving regularly you might want to start doing it right with proper equipment. When you are ready go to http://www.shavemyface.com/ and click on the forum shave my face university. Some nice gents will help you learn to shave well and help you find the proper tools to get the job done. Your are giong to have to make return trips to the barbershop like twice a month. You should enjoy the conversation in the shop and the whole experience. When you start looking like a man you might just start acting like one and who knows we may just save this country one shave and haircut at a time.

Why worry

I wish I did not have to worry. Worry about what? You name it. I wish I could just spend my life watching sports, enjoying my family, going to church, having fun with friends, shaving, working, and hundreds of other things I enjoy. But NO people just will not do the RIGHT things and who has to suffer ME and anyone else who gives half a crap about this country. This is America I should be able to trust my Government. I should not have to worry losing freedom. It should never enter my mind I might have my guns taken away. It should be the craziest concept on the planet that my money would be taken and given to someone who will not work. Since those in power or some who wish to be have plans like these and worse. I’ll worry, vote, study, and get the word out about their plans.

#9 & #5

Spring has not sprung in my neighborhood yet, but it has in Arizona and Florida. My Royals may stink again, but they have to be better. Right? Baseball will be here for real in just a few weeks. I can’t wait. One thing I wonder is will we ever see players like #5 & #9? My two favorite players of all time. One was my childhood hero and the other I never saw play.
#5 George Brett was the greatest Royal ever. KCs only Hall of Fame player. He played hard every game and had an unequaled respect for the game. My greatest baseball memory is the 85 World Series. #5 almost put himself out of the game sliding into the dugout for a foul ball. Cards fans can whine about game 6 until the end of time, #5 and the Royals won. #5 was one of the greatest hitters ever and he hit .390 to win the batting title the closest any player has come to #9s .406 in 41. Like #9 he could have sat to protect his batting average, but he played.
#9 Ted Williams was the greatest hitter ever and the last player to hit over .400. That is not why I love Teddy Ballgame. He missed 5 years of his prime to WWII and Korea. He did not have cushy P.R. duty he was a fighter pilot. He was not only a pilot, but a by God U.S. Marine. He could have ducked out of Korea, but he went and flew combat missions. When he hit .406 he could have sat to protect his average, but he played a double header and went 6 for 8 and increased his average. Ted’s numbers may not reflect how great of a player he was, but they were still enough to put him in the Hall of Fame. He always listed being a Marine fighter pilot as one of his greatest achievements.
I hope I see players like these two again, but I doubt I’ll see that kind of heart again. Thank you #5 for the memories and #9 thank you for so much more.

friends

I have been thinking about what our churches should look like. One thing that I have been seeing is the same people. Are we bringing the lost to our churches? I don't remember the last time I invited a lost friend at work or school to church. If we are doing our part to seek and save the lost shouldn't we see folks we do not know on Sunday morning? I saw a sign at a local church that said "A Church should be a hospital for sinners not a museum for saints." Every time I start to think I am good I get reminded the only difference between the world and me is I know Jesus. He save me on the cross all I had to do was believe and have faith. My works did not save me but, my work better show I am saved.
